Terms of service
These terms describe the service as it is currently offered. This is a draft version: it is not effective until it has been approved and published by the operator.
1. Provider and contracting party
QUICKSCAN is a service of Cees Visser Consulting, Kloosplantsoen 317, 2985 SJ Ridderkerk, Nederland. KvK (Chamber of Commerce) number: 90590147. Contact: ceesvisserconsulting@gmail.com. Cees Visser Consulting is the contracting party for every order and the operator of this website.
2. Who these terms apply to
QUICKSCAN is primarily used by organisations and business customers. Private individuals are not excluded and may also order the assessment. Where mandatory consumer law applies, those mandatory provisions prevail over anything in these terms. Where a provision below applies only to businesses or only to consumers, this is stated explicitly.
3. The service
QUICKSCAN provides a structured, self-reported EU AI Act readiness assessment and an automatically generated report based on the answers submitted. The service is delivered online: you complete the questionnaire, the result is generated from your answers and the report can be downloaded. No customer account is required. Access to a submitted assessment and its report runs through the reference in the report link; keep that reference confidential.
4. No legal advice, certification or conformity assessment
QUICKSCAN is an indicative readiness assessment concerning the EU AI Act based on the answers supplied. The score and report are not legal advice, certification, an official conformity assessment or a guarantee of compliance. The result depends on the completeness, accuracy and currency of the answers, answers are not independently verified, and the assessment may not cover every fact, technical feature, sector rule or legislative change. Verify the findings against the actual circumstances and seek specialist advice where needed. This clause does not exclude rights or liability where the law does not permit exclusion.
5. Orders, prices and payment
Prices are shown in EUR (€ 295 for Basic, € 750 for Plus) and in USD at the same numeric amount. The price shown is the total amount payable for the selected assessment. No VAT is calculated or charged: the operator is currently not a VAT entrepreneur for this activity. No VAT amounts or VAT rates are therefore shown, and the price is not presented as a VAT-exempt supply. If the operator's VAT position changes, prices and this clause will be updated before any VAT is charged.
Payment is processed by Stripe. An order is concluded when the payment is confirmed. The assessment becomes accessible after that confirmation. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal.
6. Delivery and access
After submission the result and report are available immediately through the report link, and you can download the report as a PDF. The report remains accessible for as long as the assessment is stored under the retention periods described in the privacy notice. If delivery fails or the link no longer works, contact ceesvisserconsulting@gmail.com so the report can be provided again.
7. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you order as a consumer, you have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days after the day the contract is concluded, without giving reasons. To withdraw, send an unambiguous statement to ceesvisserconsulting@gmail.com, for example by using the model form in clause 8. You may also use the contact details in clause 1. Withdrawal is free of charge; any payment already made is refunded without undue delay.
Because the assessment is digital content delivered immediately, you are asked at checkout to agree to immediate performance and to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the assessment has been delivered in full. If you do not give that consent, the assessment is not started until the withdrawal period has expired.
8. Model withdrawal form (consumers)
To: Cees Visser Consulting, Kloosplantsoen 317, 2985 SJ Ridderkerk, Nederland, ceesvisserconsulting@gmail.com — I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the QUICKSCAN assessment: ordered on [date] / received on [date], name of consumer, address of consumer, assessment reference, signature (only if sent on paper), date.
9. Cancellations and refunds
If the service is not delivered, is delivered incorrectly or is defective, contact ceesvisserconsulting@gmail.com. The issue will be investigated and, where the law requires it, the assessment will be re-delivered or the amount paid refunded. For business customers, an order for an assessment that has already been delivered cannot be cancelled and is not refundable, except where the law or a written agreement provides otherwise. Statutory consumer rights always prevail.
10. Liability
The assessment is an indicative instrument and the customer remains responsible for its own decisions and for obtaining professional advice where needed. Liability for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits and business interruption is excluded for business customers. Liability is limited to the amount paid for the assessment concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection.
11. Intellectual property and permitted use
The QUICKSCAN service, question set, scoring method, report template and website content remain the property of Cees Visser Consulting. You receive a non-exclusive right to use the report within your own organisation for internal purposes. The report may not be resold, published as your own work or used to suggest certification or official approval. Your answers remain yours; you grant the operator the right to use them to generate the assessment and report.
12. Support and availability
Support is provided by e-mail at ceesvisserconsulting@gmail.com. The service is offered on a best-effort basis; maintenance, provider outages or security measures can temporarily interrupt availability. Planned maintenance is not separately announced unless it affects an active assessment.
13. Governing law and disputes
Dutch law applies to these terms and to the contract. Consumers retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence and can bring a dispute before the competent court under that law. Business customers submit disputes to the competent court in Rotterdam, Nederland. Complaints can be sent to ceesvisserconsulting@gmail.com; a response follows within a reasonable period.
